Water And Sanitation Project

Access to clean water is one of the most fundamental human rights, yet many communities in Sri Lanka still face severe water shortages. Mercy Appeal’s Water and Sanitation Projects aim to provide sustainable water solutions to the most water-scarce regions. We install hand pumps, wells, and reverse osmosis (RO) plants to ensure that families have access to safe drinking water.

Alongside clean water access, we focus on improving sanitation facilities in schools, communities, and public spaces. Our projects not only provide clean water but also promote hygiene, reducing the spread of water-borne diseases and improving overall health outcomes.

Our Solutions

  • Hand pumps and wells in rural villages
  • RO plants for water purification
  • Sanitation facilities (toilets and hygiene stations)
  • Hygiene education and awareness programs
